The drum patterns here are exquisite. Only just now catching on to the Portugese wave. Batida and Kudoro are really up rn. DJ Swisha even said this Vanyfox set was one the coolest things he heard in 2025. That’s saying something.

Black Amerikkkan Pimpcess. Was put onto this release by the Grits & Eggs podcast. She is so real and world conscious. I hope 2026 is an even bigger year for this phenom.

I shazamed Afriki from a raggae set almost a year ago that I can’t find anymore. From Côte d’Ivoire, Alpha Blondy is a pioneer in African Reggae and this being one of his more critically acclaimed contributions to the African Rasta movement. Reggae is for the people fr. This stuff is so therapeutic.

I’m telling you that “In Ur Eyez” has been stuck in my head all winter…sheesh! Janaway has been making waves in the jungle-sphere as a vibrant UK underground act and even recently collabed with Nia Archives for her Up Ya Archives. I love these groovy, Brazilian influenced, bass heavy breaks and I think he is a necessary pit stop for the modern (and emotional) junglists today.

sable hibiscus, vol. 1: ad aeternum by Black Hibiscus & moye
Alternative, RnB/Soul
- necropolis
- nocturnal
- eternal
- phantom bride
Really cool artist I discovered from their Elevator Music session. This joint project with moye has alternative rock and hip-hop mixed with blues tones this cool live/local energy. It’s so ambient and haunting. If you’re a fan of Paris Texas or maybe Sampha definitely dive into this one.

One of the realest beat makers and sonic architects of our time. He’s a big reason I love artists like Ravyn Lenae so much. It’s such a heartfelt project. “These days don’t call for peace, set fire to the beast”

I think this the first time I’ve linked a whole website lol. This is a great resource from an awesome DJ/Selector. I’ve been referring to this to help expand my library a bit. If you like stuff I post on this blog I’m sure you’ll love her recommendations too. Lots of gems.

Your local white boy’s favorite album of 2025. Have to say it’s pretty dang good. Cameron Winter and his flock have really developed an immutable spirit of music in their jam sessions. Several moments even remind me of The Strokes. This album is like staring into the gates of heaven while in purgatory.

That blend of Amaarae’s “Stuck Up” with “Paraffin” by STATE OFFF is ridiculous. One of my favorite mixes of 2025. Real global club energy right here.

Some of the hardest global club beats you will hear. The genre blending and collaborations cover everything underground and continental to the major headlining. Bambii, TNO, DBN Gogo, Scratcha DVA, Miss Jay, Black Rave Culture, and the list goes on. Not only a great project but a great source point.
Very likely to be a foundational part to my sets and mixes this 2026.
